The public organization based in the Netherlands named “Nederlandse Vereniging voor Medische Polemologie” has forwarded me the Open Letter signed by a number of prominent persons.

It is very strange that such noble and highly respected personalities like Nobel Peace Prize Laureates made two political mistakes and even blunders in their Appeal.

First, there is no "invasion" into Ukraine, but liberation of it from neo-nazis and to save lives of civilians in Donbass. War criminals in Kiev have killed 14.000 and wounded 34.000 civilians in Donbass during two Ukrainian aggressions versus it in 2014-2015. Such figure is recognized by the UNO.

From February 17th, 2022 till March 26th, 2022 in Donetsk People's Republic only Kiev also killed 64 peaceful citizens and injured  534, including 46 kids. 1704 houses, 439 social civilian  buildings, including hospitals (26), educational assets (59) and life support systems (241) there have been destroyed.

Such tragic figures eloquently prove that Moscow was right when it started from February 24th, 2022 a military operation aimed at demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, and at protection population in Donbass who does not want to live together in such state called Ukraine.

Second, Russia has never announced its desire and intention to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine:

a) the Senate, the Upper House of the Parliament,  has not made any decision to use them and it will not make such decision;

b) there is no need to use them at all -  Russia made major success in destroying a war machine of Ukrainian neo-nazis by using conventional weapons. Ukrainian Navy, Air Force and AAD have been nearly ruined and Donbass ultra-nationalist battalion destroyed. Nearly 6.000 Ukrainian military facilities have been destroyed since February 24th, 2022;

Unfortunately, there is a dead silence from the co-authors of that Appeal on all these facts described in several sentences:

a) the USA is committed to the first nuclear strike; while Russia is not;

b) the USA has identified  14 cases to use nuclear weapons in its NPR - still not modified (PPT slide is attached);

c) the U.S. presidents have a sole and unique right to use nuclear weapons;

d) the USA still  has tactical nuclear weapons (TNW) in Europe and the respective delivery systems;

e) if the U.S. TNW are loaded on the U.S. heavy strategic bombers they are regarded as "strategic";

f) the USA frequently sends heavy strategic bombers to Europe, especially close to Russian territory, and even tested dummy nuclear missiles against potential targets;

g) NATO has not cancelled it  its "Baltic Air Policing" operation started in 2004 where dual capable aircraft are employed;

h) the USA has not ratified the CTBT, while Russia has done it nearly 22 years ago - in 2000.

CONCLUSION:

a) the Appeal is one-sided, disbalanced and a very biassed document;

b) it misleads the general public and nuclear arms control experts;

c) the Appeal encourages the USA and NATO to heavily rely upon nuclear weapons;

d) the Appeal complicates public movement towards nuclear-free world;

e) it is very strange to see that many anti-nuclear movements in Europe and the USA have take up one-sided track in nuclear arms control, and camouflage the USA who from 1945 is obsessed with the desire to use nuclear weapons, and encouraged Ukraine to resurrect its Soviet-made nuclear weapons:  for that purpose the USA has delivered weapon-grade plutonium to Kiev's ultra-nationalistic and aggressive regime.
