TRADE-UNIONS AT THE RUSSIAN LABOR MARKET

In recent years the situation with Russian trade-unions has changed dramatically: the decreasing number of “traditional” post-Soviet organizations now seems to be balanced by new, “alternative”, structures appearing on the labor market. In spite of a sharp decline in their membership, trade-unions in Russia still remain the most popular institution which potentially has a strong influence on the economic activity in the country.
