THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF IMPROVING RUSSIAN FEDERALISM
The paper deals with the main directions of federal reform in the Russian Federation at the present stage.
Major emphasis is put on providing a single law-based environment by harmonization of regional laws with the federal legislation and the country’s Constitution, development of federal districts, reform of the formation of the Council of Federation and rearrangement of the issues of jurisdiction and authority among the levels of public power.
